Levitronix® LFSC-iX
Ultrasonic Clamp-On
Flow Measurement
for Bioprocessing

The LEVIFLOW® LFSC-iX clamp-on sensor is designed for high-precision, non-invasive flow measurements in bioprocessing. Three pairs of piezoelectric transducers generate and receive ultrasonic waves. When flow is present, the with-stream waves are accelerated, and the against-stream waves are slowed down. The difference in transit time of each pair is proportional to the velocity of the fluid. The LFSC-iX series with its integrated electronics comprises a very small footprint and allows for easy installation.

LEVIFLOW® clamp-on sensors LFSC-iX offer distinctive advantages to the bioprocessing industry that will improve your product yield.
LFSC-iX
Benefits

±1.5% accuracy of reading
With the Levitronix® 6-beam technology, the LFSC-iX provides unparalled accuracy in clamp-on flow measurement.

High Precision Flow Measurement

Significantly reduced footprint
The LFSC-iX series with its integrated electronics comprises a very small footprint and allows for easy installation.

Integrated Electronics

Non-invasive sensor
The sensor is completely non-invasive and can be clamped on and off in a few seconds resulting in zero single-use costs.

No Single-Use Costs

Improved clamp shape
In comparison to rectangular clamp shapes, the hexagonal clamp shape of the LFSC-iX provides improved robustness against tube deformation at higher pressures.

Stable Measurement at Higher Pressure

Measurement of complete tube area
With 6 beams in total, the LFSC-iX covers the complete flow area to ensure a highly stable measurement.

Improved Robustness against Bubbles

LED Status Display
The integrated LED status display and the configurable sensor parameters enable ease of control.

Smart Sensor

Gentle measurement principle
The sensor’s non-invasive measurement is ideal for shear sensitive cells and proteins.

No Additional Shear Stress

Multiple standard tubes and two temperatures
The sensor is calibrated for Saint Gobain C-Flex®, Silicone Pharma, AdvantaFlex®, and AdvantaSil®  tubing and for temperatures of 20° C and 37° C.

Different Tube Materials and Temperatures

Ideal for high-purity liquids
The sensor is completely non-invasive and therefore ideal for high-purity downstream and upstream processes.

No Particle Contamination
