LNP Formulation – How Flow Pulsations Influence LNP Yield

Watch video

RNA based therapies are poised to change biotechnology for years to come. But the production of these therapies poses new challenges.
For instance, in Formulation of Lipid Nanoparticles or LNP, an aqueous buffer containing RNA and an organic solvent containing lipids are mixed in a controlled manner. The flow of these two liquids needs to be delivered at highest accuracy and repeatability to achieve desirable encapsulation and particle attributes. Too high or too low flow of one or both streams can lead to undesirable particle size, polydisperse size distribution or reduced encapsulation.
In this video, you will discover the impact of pump technology on LNP formulation and how Levitronix® PuraLev® pumps can help achieve high yield.
