LFSC-iX Ultrasonic Clamp-On Flow Measurement for Bioprocessing

The LEVIFLOW® integrated clamp on flow sensor LFSC-iX is designed for high-precision, non-invasive flow measurement in biopharmaceutical production. Several piezoelectric transducers generate and receive ultrasonic waves. When flow is present, the with-stream wave is accelerated, and the against-stream wave is slowed down. The difference in transit time is proportional to the velocity of the fluid. With six beams in total, the LFSC-iX not only allows for significantly increased accuracy but also covers the complete flow area, thereby maintaining an accurate measurement in case of bubbles. Additionally, the hexagonal clamp shape improves clamp repeatability and pressure robustness. The LFSC-iX series with it’s integrated electronics comprises a very small footprint and allows for easy installation. With additional smart features including calibration sets for different tube materials and temperatures or the LED status display. The LEVIFLOW® iX series sets the benchmark for accurate and robust flow measurement in bioprocessing.
